She Did It (Thank God)!
Well, after Saturday morning’s debacle my daughter finally got her drivers’ license. A thousand pounds off my chest and woe unto the roads of
(ASIDE: Come on, Mom, show some pride in your daughter’s accomplishment. I know you didn’t think she was ready, but for heaven’s sake if it were left up to you she’d NEVER be ready! In fact, I don’t think there would be any other drivers on the road if you had your way. After all, you’re the only one who can do anything right behind the wheel. Besides, you refused to coach your daughter after she got her learner’s permit, claiming that your “nerves” couldn’t handle it. Probably just as well, since I could slice the tension with a knife when you were in the car. But anyway, it’s done, it’s over with, she’s a licensed driver now, and you should be damned glad that you don’t have to play chauffeurette to her anymore. So, quitcherbitchin’!)
