Welcome to Liberrants, a blog dedicated to editorials, discussions, and studies of all things libertarian. Don't let the title mislead you; it's merely my attempt to be creative in describing myself as a "hopeful curmudgeon" who embraces the goal of the free, peaceful, economically vibrant society envisioned by America's founding fathers. A critically thinking curmudgeon whose goal, in addition to creatively venting about the imperfect world in which we live, is to induce critical thinking in others. The ultimate goal is to help bring about a peaceful world in which we can all live in freedom.

This is a disgrace. It’s bad enough that our troops in Iraq and their families had to buy this stuff in the first place. Now the war puppeteers/profiteers want to welsh on their promise to reimburse these poor suffering souls for the costs of what Uncle Sap should have footed the bill for to begin with. As I’ve said before, there’s a special place in hell awaiting the current ruling cabal, with the bridal suite reserved for the Smirking Chimp himself. Despicable!

Good stuff Lib. Much agreed. It is sad to see this going on in our own country with the resources that are continually available to us. Keep up the good work.
